A STRIKING NIGHT

- LES NUITS EN LUTTE

Behind those we call the Entertainment Workers, there are trades, sensibilities, commitments, Women and Men working behind the scenes or those shining in the limelight.

This summer’s evening full of turbulent events, they decided to come together and organise a unique concert where shadows and light intermingle. The Théâtre Antique de Fourvière welcomes them; a place of contrasts where Technicians, Artists, Associations, Volunteers and the Public cross paths. But on that night, their paths didn’t just cross, they came together and took the mike with just one hand to fight against precariousness.

Qualified as intermittent entertainment workers on paper, I find that they are on the ground humans, citizens, activists and engaged in permanent residence.

On that 19th July, in response to those whom we might hear too much of, they came together to save their status & rights, and remember or support those whom we rarely or never hear, those whom we rarely or never see.

Behind the shadows, all their light.
